We were one of the first crews to charter the Bali 4.1 ADRIA SUNSET. And we were very impressed. Our rating for the Kat Bali 4.1 Adria Sunset and ADRIA YACHTING: **** to ***** Stars Space a luxury: ***** The space in the salon and in the pantry is more than generous. The number of storage options we have seen in any other catamaran. There is even a reasonable solution for the garbage. Right next to the rear bench 2-3 rubbish bags can be stored in 2 additional deep back boxes. The second backbox contains the water hose and the charging cable. The storage compartments for food we could not all prove. The number of lying areas are also unsurpassed and diverse. Sleeping is possible not only in the spacious 4 cabins, but also in the salon (1 person), on the seating area at the stern, (1) behind the helm in the size of a double bed (2) (best with a sun sail against the morning dew ) and on the seating area at the bow (1). This means that in fair weather and the occupancy of 8 people, each person can have their own sleeping space, whether outdoors or in the cabin. A real luxury! WC / shower **** It is almost impossible to find 4 showers with 4 toilets on a 40-foot catamaran. But all showers/wc on the Bali. 4.1 was used, a bit narrow but sufficient. There is also a stern shower. Sail:**** Although I'm not a big fan of a self-tacking jib, when it is used in space lessons with a leash on the hulls, it also generates enough propulsion. The mainsail can even (still) pull by hand almost into the top and offers with 3 reefs much leeway in the different wind conditions. The handling of all lines is getting used to with only 2 winches, but feasible. Suggestions for improvement: Labeling of the cleats in the cockpit with the 3 reefs, mainsheet, etc ... Instruments and navigation: ***** From the GPS plotter to the wind display everything available. An additional GPS device is in the salon and facilitates the planning even in bad weather. And, as with new yachts, the latest nautical charts and guides for all Croatian areas are common. Dingy and outboard: ***** Large Dingy with a rigid hull for 6 persons. The 6 hp Honda engine is reliable with reverse and forward gear. The dingy storage on the cat is easy and efficient. Hook up the dinghy, operate the electric winch and the dinghy is up. A simple as well as perfect solution in which the outboard motor can stay on the dinghy. Pantry: ***** 3 gas flames with ignition system and the large 11 liter gas cylinder will surprise the ship's cook. In addition, he will have his pleasure with the many pots and pans, which also allow multi-course menus. Sharp knives, new plastic boards as well as an own filter coffee machine and a microwave complete the offer. And not to Forget, a huge fridge. Energy:***** All sockets on board have a converter always 220 volts with about 1500 watts of power. An own unmistakable alarm also warns of too many pantographs. Who more often used the 1500 W windlass, as well as the electric cockpit winch and the 1000 watt coffee machine and overnight in bays (without shore power), should not forget to charge the batteries in between with the engine for the protection of the batteries.
