As a seasoned professional Captain and Master and Commander responsible for vessels over 300 meters, I embarked on a boat experience with high expectations. However, my encounter with Pitter Yacht Charter from Marina Kornati Biograd left me deeply dissatisfied. Despite my extensive experience and decorated background, which includes being honored as a proud recipient of Croatia's bravery at sea and the prestigious Blue Ribbon award, I was shocked by the inflexibility of the lady in charge. Throughout my ten years of renting boats in the Adriatic, no charter company had ever insisted that I return the boat to the base on Friday evening. However, Pitter Yacht Charter imposed this requirement on me, disregarding my numerous requests and assurances regarding the boat's condition. Despite having already paid for and secured a berth in the sheltered bay of Zaklopica, located just across the marina in Boagrad, I was denied the opportunity to spend the night there. This refusal not only forced me to spend an unnecessary night in the marina Kornat but also dictated the location of my final evening on the boat, stripping away my freedom of choice and all my guests. Such inflexibility is not only a poor reflection on Pitter Yacht Charter's customer service but also a missed opportunity for them. As a potential investor and a prospective buyer of the Nautitech N40O, this experience has pushed me to explore alternative companies, including options beyond Boataround for chartering as well. The inability of one individual to accommodate a simple request has cost Pitter Yacht Charter not only a customer but also the potential for future business. It is unfortunate that a small act of accommodation could have saved this relationship and opened doors to a long-term partnership.
