Pick-Up time could be earlier

All the toilets had a very strong unpleasant smell, when we asked, they gave us a toilet cleaning liquid. Almost all door handles have fallen off by themselves several times. I'm a carpenter, I've been sailing for 20 years, I have my own boat, luckily I renovated a boat, so I know what needs to be done, and luckily I had a set of tools, so I was able to fix it. The big surprise happens when the ship is returned. We have not taken out a deposit insurance, we have rented a boat several times from other charter companies, we have never had a problem. (we really regret it later.) When taking over the ship, the crew went almost straight to one of the roof windows, which they later showed that it was cracked. It's as if he already knew it was cracking, and unfortunately we were charged a very high cost because of it. We think they knew it was cracked, but probably the people in front of us paid for deposit insurance and thus couldn't pay the cost with them. We arrived on time and paid a high amount, we got back less than half of the deposit. In summary, the ship is very run down, every part is falling apart, it looks 16 years old, not 6 years old. The boat is unsafe due to both engine problems. Only those who don't mind it should take it out. The charter company does not deal with it, just to make the profit as high as possible. If someone wants to sail, they know that the genoa is already in a very bad condition. Deposit insurance is highly recommended, so that no one else has the same problem as us, we think the company is abusing it.

When paying the insurance deposit, they wanted an extra €300 in cash, which they would keep immediately in case of any damage to the boat. I experienced that for the first time.
