The service from Sailways, the yacht handover, the condition of the yacht and the deposit in cash or by bank transfer; catastrophic. -Service; after reporting a major problem, we waited 4 hours for a response and then solved the problem ourselves, after that it took less than a minute for them to respond to my report that we no longer needed help. -Takeover/return/condition of the yacht; Unmotivated, snappy staff who knew nothing about sailing, a technician had to come over again and again to answer questions. The handover was strictly checked off point by point according to the list. Individual questions were answered with 'you don't need to know that' or 'it's unimportant' or 'don't know'. Some of the lines were in very bad condition, there was no railing aft, we had to tighten ropes. The radar, which is listed in the description of the yacht, was nowhere to be found (this was one of my main reasons for this yacht). When I asked where it was, I was later asked whether I would take the yacht now, even without radar. As no adequate alternative could be offered, I had to say 'yes'. The sails were very difficult to operate, even when using winches. -> I would also like to have a statement from you regarding radar. I do not want to simply accept that, contrary to the description, there was no radar. - Deposit: HOW can it be that a modern charter company cannot block the amount on the credit card?? Paying the amount in cash or by bank transfer is completely unprofessional and is not acceptable to me. Transferring EUR 3672 by credit card (not 3600, as a 2% surcharge on costs was included) and 2!! The transfer of EUR 3600 weeks later cost me over CHF 300. If the amount had been blocked on my credit card, I would not have had any costs at all!! I will avoid Sailwys in the future. Kind regards, David Winter

The extras were initially missing or defective. Toilet clogged.

Check in was very fast, but check out was slow and detailed - so be carefull during check in, take pictures, ask questions. Otherwise you can be charged for something what you didnt do. We were lucky that we have found the picture. We were told that fuel display is broken - it showed 70% during check in but they told us that it is 100% but during check out it showed suddenly 100% - we are sure that we were charged and paid more as we should. Battery was very old - didnt last long. Genoua and main sail was old and a little bit debaged on one spot.
