I had a very disappointing experience with Seadrive and cannot recommend them based on how they handled the rental process and post-rental damage claims. When we picked up the boat, no issues or damages were mentioned by Seadrive, despite their terms stating that the boats are delivered in "perfect" condition. I documented the boat thoroughly with photos and videos, which turned out to be critical later. After we returned the boat, Seadrive claimed that a significant damage was caused by us. However, within 30 minutes, I was able to show them a video clearly proving that this specific damage was already there when we received the boat. Instead of acknowledging this, they quickly shifted their focus to another supposed damage. This feels highly unprofessional, and I firmly believe we did not touch anything or cause any damage to the boat. Additionally, we experienced issues during the trip, including a non-functional dinghy engine and rainwater leaking into the boat. These problems were not addressed upfront, nor was the condition of the boat properly explained during check-in. The handling of the situation was unprofessional, and the communication around the damage claims lacked transparency. I advise future renters to thoroughly document everything during check-in and to be extremely cautious, as my experience has shown that Seadrive’s inspection and claims process leaves much to be desired.
