Hello, On Saturday, September 28, our 7-day trip on the sailing catamaran Lagoon 42 | Sea Voyager (2018) of the charter company SunLife Charter with departure from ACI Marina Split ended, which we booked through your agency BOATAROUND. Booking number: 176584 The impressions are the most negative, which we intend to share with you and with your potential clients on social networks and on all possible sites where your agency is mentioned. I will begin my story with the fact that before paying for this cruise, we clarified with you the possibility of providing a Russian-speaking skipper. You responded positively and confirmed with several letters. As a result, one day before the start of the trip we were informed, or rather we were presented with the fact that we would be served by a skipper named Emmanuel Dellapicca, who, as it turned out, not only does not speak Russian, but has very low training and qualifications, and has no experience in managing a catamaran. The skipper does not have any information regarding the route, nor could he advise us on the prices for mooring in the marinas on the islands. All these days, when we had already moored in one marina or another, we were surprised to learn about the exorbitant prices after the fact. During all these days, we persuaded him to raise the sail only once, and then an accident immediately occurred: the sail jammed on the mast at a great height and the skipper could not cope with it on his own or even with our possible help. He personally decided to go on a motor with the sail raised to the nearest very expensive marina, although initially we planned to spend the night at anchor or on a buoy. And only because of this accident, we had unexpected expenses, we paid for this night twice as much as for the marina on the previous island of Vis. But the biggest deception and fraud was still ahead. Instead of the planned return on Friday evening to the home port of ASI marina Split, the skipper persuaded us to agree to return a day earlier, that is, on Thursday in the morning, scaring us with the upcoming strong wind the next day on Friday, which turned out to be not so strong, because many other yachts safely returned on Friday evening. He assured us that since we had unexpected expenses, we can save a little and recoup these expenses, that is, by spending the night in the "home port." In reality, we were forced to pay for parking in the port of Split in the amount of 350 euros per night. Not only did we lose a day and a half of sailing, but after arriving at the port, the skipper disappeared after a while and returned to the ship only early the next morning, explaining that he was meeting his friend in the city. The next day, he slept in the cabin we allocated to him until midday, after which he said that he had already done CHEK OUT and left us on the catamaran without help and support for a whole day earlier, for which we paid 210 euros. And at night, we had another accident. The water pump suddenly turned on, which we could not stop on our own, even after the water ran out. When we called the skipper, he did not even pick up the phone. In addition to the fact that we had to spend a sleepless night with the noise of the pump running idle without water, which could fail, break, we were also left without sanitary water. In the morning, we were forced to buy bottled water to wash ourselves and wash dirty dishes. A bad trip, but its ending was absolutely terrible! We put all the blame for what happened on BOATROUND, which fraudulently (guaranteeing us a Russian-speaking skipper), having received money from us for the rent, assigned us such a shameless, unprofessional and very negligent person. We do not know for sure whether the skipper's duties include cleaning the catamaran during the voyage, or at least the outer deck, but we are sure that after he has been fed, each person must clean up after himself, as we all did, all except the skipper. It looked like simple rudeness! We consider ourselves deceived and regard the unprofessional actions of the skipper, and therefore the whole of BOATROUND, as fraudulent. We will make every effort to ensure that such problems do not befall your potential clients in the future, sharing our negative experience in all possible media. We also intend to seek compensation through a lawyer for both material and moral damages for the losses we have incurred and for our ruined vacation.
